Course Description:
This course is designed to help level 4 students develop a solid understanding of how business and management data is used to inform decision making. Through interactive lessons, practical examples, and engaging activities, students will learn to analyse different types of data, represent and interpret data, and effectively communicate data to stakeholders. By the end of the course, students will have the knowledge and skills to make informed business decisions based on data analysis. They will also be able to determine and interpret statistics, communicate outcomes to different stakeholder groups, and select appropriate written report formats for different audiences and content. The course will also cover communication strategies that take into account the needs of different stakeholder groups, the use of different written report formats, including formal and informal formats, and the choice and use of appropriate software for presentations that include textual, graphical, and pictorial elements. Students will also learn to create tables, graphs, charts, and diagrams, such as pictograms, pie charts, bar charts, frequency curves, histograms, line graphs, and scattergrams.
